The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD has beena long time coming. After it launched in 2012 on the Wii, Nintendo kind of forgot about the game. Skyward Sword is a motion-based game, which meant that bringing it to other platforms, even the Wii U, was tricky.

Somehow Nintendo figured it out and popped the game out on the Switch. The game has improved a lot in ten years but there are still a lot of things natively that don't make sense. This applies to the gameplay as well as the story. Get ready for some spoiler-filled memes to help alleviate the stress that this game can cause.

9 The Legend Of Fortnite

A meme from Skyward Sword HD

This seems like a collaboration that is just waiting to happen. The only reason Link or any other Nintendo character hasn't jumped into Fortnite is probably because Nintendo doesn't want other console players using their IP.

In some ways, it makes sense for the company to be defensive about this stuff. On the other hand, Fortnite is just screaming for a crossover event as Link is constantly dropping from the sky.

8 Sora Soars Into View

A meme from Skyward Sword HD and Kingdom Hearts

The list of petitions online for characters players want to see in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is enormous. One of those picks is for Sora from the Kingdom Hearts franchise. This series has appeared exclusively on Nintendo platforms before but other than the spinoff game, Melody of Memory, it hasn't had a true game in a while.

Announcing Sora as a new character inSmash alongside a new Kingdom Hearts game or port of the various collections to the Switch would be rad.

7 Goku Goes Super Saiyan Smash

A meme from Skyward Sword HD

Part of the reason why this meme works so well is that the delivery method for these Super Smash Bros. Ultimate letters is never revealed. A Loftwing being the culprit seems pretty spot on.

It was too good of an idea to just share once especially given the amount of fan outcry for Goku to appear in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendo seems to not want to deal with anime licenses as so this probably won't happen. A fan can still dream.

6 Hello Linky

A meme from Skyward Sword HD and Venom

The Imprisoned is one of the big bosses in Skyward Sword HD. Link has several visions of it in his dreams. Some of these scenes are very reminiscent of the times when Venom would sneak out of Eddie Brock's body and whisper, "Hello Eddie" in the film Venom.

Imagining that voice calling out to Link is too funny. Now, this would be a crossover that fans would get excited for.

5 Not The Bees!

A meme from Skyward Sword HD; Link and Bees

This phrase is one of the most long-lasting memes on the internet. It's a callback to The Wicker Man wherein Nicolas Cage is covered in bees. It's a classic line and an even better scene to watch thanks to Cage's over-the-top mannerisms.

While funny, bees really are no joke. Thankfully, they can be harnessed for good and turned on other enemies like Bokoblins. It's one of the best elements in Skyward Sword.

4 The Wrong Game Got Remastered

A meme from Skyward Sword HD

2021 isThe Legend of Zelda's 35th anniversary. Fans were expecting a huge blowout from Nintendo at E3 but all the company announced was a new Game & Watch system featuring Zelda games.

Skyward Sword HD was on the wishlist for many fans while others were crossing their fingers in the hopes of seeing Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask getting Switch ports. This fan mockup box looks really nice in this chest meme.

Another thing fans were expecting to see at E3 was a Switch Pro. It did not happen but a couple of weeks later, Nintendo did announce an OLED revision of the Switch which is not what fans expected.

Valve seemingly answered this fan outcry instead by announcing the Steam Deck. Will it rival the Switch or go down as another weird and overlooked Valve project like the Steam Link?

2 Zelda Wright: Ace Goddess

A meme from Skyward Sword HD, Link, Groose, Zelda

Groose is one of those characters who is fun to hate. He is in love with Zelda and doesn't think Link is good enough. This early scene in Skyward Sword HD is full of dramatic pointing. It was hard not to think of the Phoenix Wright series because of this.

While Princess Peach got her own spinoff game, the same can't be said for Zelda, which is unfortunate. This meme makes it fun to imagine Zelda starring in a light novel detective game like Phoenix Wright.

A meme from Skyward Sword HD, cancel link

Part of the reason why Groose wants to win the Loftwing race early in the game is so that he can get Zelda's sailcloth to creepily smell. It looks like Link wants the same thing as this text pops up when he receives it, "It smells nice too."

Why was that important to put into Skyward Sword HD's script? Ultimately, it is just a bit of humor injected into the game, providing some levity throughout the adventure. Link is plenty of things but offensive has never been one of them.
